Hello - and welcome to my website. Here’s a bit about me.

I am a writer of plays for stage and radio, and scripts for radio and TV.

My plays for stage include In the Groove, Ellen, The Last Waltz (Thames TV Theatre Writers’ Residency Award), The Legacy (finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize), Sitting Duck, Within the Fortress. My plays for radio include Moving Along, The Snatch, The Lost Child.

I’ve written over two hundred hours of broadcast radio and TV. My credits include The Archers, EastEnders, Casualty, Heartbeat, Eldorado, Holby City, Silent Witness. In 2017, for my work on EastEnders, I won the Tony Warren Award. You can read more about my scriptwriting adventures under the TV & Radio tab.

I’ve taught creative writing to people of all ages - from primary age children up to postgrads, and held a Royal Literary Fund writing fellowship at the University of Essex.

I’m married with a grown-up family and two very lovely grandchildren. I live in London with my husband and our small dog.
